Introduction
Cutting through the noise
Our summer newsletter comes to you a little later this year – rather like the British summer itself, which finally turned up warm but now seems to have dashed off again, leaving us with a hint of autumn in the air. Hopefully, this is just the right moment to offer some clear thinking amidst all the noise.
This time of year always brings a swirl of Budget rumours. In the run-up to the last Budget, headlines screamed that pension tax-free cash was about to be scrapped. Many people rushed to take lump sums early, only for the Budget to come and go without a single change to those rules. Unfortunately, some who acted on rumours found themselves wishing they had waited. It’s a perfect example of why steady, fact- based advice matters more than headlines.
Our approach remains simple: advice should always be based on facts, not speculation. Ours is one of the most heavily regulated professions in the country, and rightly so. Reacting to headlines rarely produces good outcomes. Our focus is, as ever, on your long-term plan. If and when real changes are announced, we’ll adapt calmly and sensibly with you.
Our new Autus home
We’re now happily settled into our new office, with just a few finishing touches left to go. It already feels like home, and we’re delighted with the space. We’d love to welcome you here for your next meeting. With local lunch spots and a nearby shopping centre, it might even turn into a pleasant day out!
How we support you
Financial planning isn’t just about numbers on a page; it’s about helping you feel confident and secure, whatever comes next. Whether it’s making sense of the headlines, adapting your plans after life changes, or simply being at the end of the phone when you need us, our team is here to guide you.
We know the world rarely stands still, but with a clear plan and steady support, you can move forward with confidence. That’s exactly what we’re here for.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if there's anything you would like to discuss further.
